On Saturday, November 13th, OSU Extension, in cooperation with Langston University, Woodward Tourism, Northwestern Oklahoma University, and Achinimoore Farms will be hosting a sustainable agriculture farm field day, including information on rainwater harvesting, composting, youth activities & more.

OSU extension will also be offering a separate rainwater harvesting workshop from 8:30 til 11:30 in the morning.  This morning workshop will be targeted toward residential and landscape uses of rainwater harvesting, while the field day will demonstrate rainwater harvesting for supplemental livestock watering.  Will will be providing more information on the rainwater harvesting workshop in the near future.

The field day will also feature a special session for the younger set on seeding, transplanting and plant progagation.  We will offer a "working lunch" prepared with Oklahoma grown foods with the culinary expertise of Chris Riffle from JB's Steak House.

Pre-registration (before October 11) for the field day is $10, and is $15 after that.  Registration for the morning rainfall harvesting workshop is $5.  Space is limited and this workshop is usually pretty popular, so register early!
