Achieving Real World Sustainability: Smart Water Management Case Study
Thursday, February 10, 2011 - 2:00pm ET / 11:00am PT

The retail industry has made great strides in going green. The newly finalized LEED for Retail and LEED Volume programs reflect the strong interest in sustainability among retailers and property developers. While many of the industry’s green programs are indeed flourishing, others are falling short of their projected financial and environmental returns. As organizations become more sophisticated in their approach to sustainability, green programs are increasingly subject to the same rigorous cost-benefit analyses that any enterprise-wide program would receive.

Hosted by Retail Traffic Editor-in-Chief David Bodamer, this one-hour webinar will explore effective strategies for selecting Smart Water Management programs that stand up to “real-world” applications and deliver on their promises. Providing a case in point, Mark Peternell, vice president of sustainability for Regency Centers, will relate his company’s experiences with outdoor water efficiency. Mr. Peternell will describe his search for practical solutions, the implementation of new technologies and practices, and results achieved, sharing key lessons learned along the way.

Retail industry professionals responsible for managing financial performance or driving sustainability initiatives will come away from this webinar equipped to:

  • Identify proven Smart Water Management solutions that deliver rapid ROI
  • Implement technology strategically to maximize savings and avoid operational strain
  • Apply savings achieved from fast-payback outdoor water efficiency programs to fund additional programs
  • Rally employee and consumer enthusiasm for sustainability measures
