The 2020 AR-OK Turfgrass Short Course will be hosted by the University of Arkansas Turfgrass Program and will be held January 7 and 8 at Little Rock, AR. Day 1 runs from 8 am to 5 pm with day 2 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunch and snacks will be provided both days.

The registration fee for the event is $140 with information concerning registration as well as the program agenda for the event being available at: https://horticulture.uark.edu/research-extension/turf/turf-education/shortcourse.php

This event is a 2-day, intensive course class-room course that covers the basics of turfgrass management, including topics such as turfgrass identification, turfgrass selection, fertilization, irrigation, cultivation, best mowing practices and pest control. This is a great course for people who may have recently entered the lawn care, parks or grounds industry or would just like a good refresher course on some of the fundamentals of turfgrass management. While the course does not cover aspects of putting green management, the concepts taught are also helpful to those managing golf courses.
