ServSafe Food Safety Certification Training

In-Service Description: This food safety course will cover topics related to food safety in a food service establishment. A certification exam will be administered at the end of this training. The ServSafe Food Manager Certification is a credential that demonstrates an individual has the skills and knowledge to manage food safety in foodservice operations. After passing the certification exam, FCS Educators have the option to complete additional steps to become a ServSafe Instructor or Instructor/Proctor to offer ServSafe Food Handler and ServSafe Food Manager training courses. Additional follow-up in-services (Parts 2 and 3) will be offered virtually to provide support on Food Handler instructor resources (Part 2) and accessing Food Manager curriculum and resources (Part 3).

First Objective: Provide food safety education on important topics in the foodservice industry, such as preventing foodborne illness and protecting customer health.

Second Objective: Prepare FCS Educators to become Certified ServSafe Instructors to teach ServSafe food safety trainings in their communities.

Third Objective: Prepare the workforce with job readiness skills.
