BAE January Update: Drones (UAV) Applications and Regulations

In-Service Description: Dr. John Long, Extension Agricultural Machinery Systems Specialist, will talk on using Drones, officially called Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), in Agriculture. He will touch on how drones can be useful to farmers, areas where they are not particularly useful, expenses involved with flying drones, and regulations drone pilots must follow. The BAE Update is a four-time-a year in-service provided by Specialists in the Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering Department (BAE). It is a one hour zoom only in-service that meets on Fridays 12:00 noon to 1:00.

Third Objective: Provide educators with updates on programs offered by specialists in Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering; current research and teaching in Biosystems Engineering and Agricultural Systems and Technology.
