Co-Parenting Through Divorce

Must Pre-Register. Co-Parenting Classes will be held from 9:00am-12:00noon on August 9th. How parents handle the divorce can make it better or worse for their children. Co-Parenting for Resilience is a program to help divorcing parents instill resilience in their children. Because divorce can cause numerous problems for children, many Oklahoma judges are requiring divorcing parents to attend a co-parenting workshop before their divorce will be granted. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate to present to their judge. Co-Parenting for Resilience is a 4 hour class designed to help parents: Learn how to keep their children out of the middle of their divorce; Recognize problems that their children may experience; Discover ways to change their own behaviors to help children adjust and overcome the challenges of divorce. Registration is $35.00. Contact the Beaver County Extension for details or to pre-register at least 3 business days prior to the class.
